What to check on an embossed sample

Buyers often send one adjective and expect a full construction. The page already shows the family. This note only tells you which lines to add so the cut matches the job. Keep weight, width, and any test figure as targets you already hold, or leave them for the quality you select.
What repeat should you look for?
Check the pattern repeat against the panel, then check that the base cloth is the one you named. Put that observation in the first line of the request. Add the end use in the second line. If two cloths could be confused, name the one you want and the one you do not want.

Read the swatch against the table when it arrives. If the face is right and the job is wrong, correct the line and ask for another cut. The embossed fabric page remains the commercial route.
What should you check besides the pattern?
Use a second line so the first observation is not asked to carry every detail. For a seat, say what the sitter touches. For a jacket, say shell, sleeve, or lining. For a pattern, say the panel size you need the repeat to fit. These are briefing notes. They are briefing notes only.
